  1. Flu Shots- Flu Vaccine is recommend to prevent flu. Routine annual influenza immunization is recommended for all persons aged ≥6 months who do not have contraindications. Optimally, vaccination should occur before onset of influenza activity in the community. Health care providers should offer immunization by October, if possible. Vaccination should continue to be offered as long as influenza viruses are circulating. The flu season this year is complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Receiving a flu shot this year is especially important to prevent and or reduce flu severity and thus avoid hospitalizations.

  • Tdap - immunizations for  tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough) 

  • Pnuemococcal Vaccine  for prevention pneumonia.

  • Shingles vaccine -   Zostavax  vaccine used for immunization of adults 50 years of age or older to prevent Shingles (also known as zoster).

Flu shots are contraindicated in:

  • Children younger than 6 months of age.

  • People who have severe allergic reaction to flu vaccines, gelatin, or chicken eggs. People with a history Guillain-Barré Syndrome should talk to their doctor before proceeding with vaccination.
